Well that was a decent live night. I played a LA game until the break, rebought twice and spent a total of £45 and won £100 after coming 3rd. After the break I actually went looser as everyone was tight as feck. From a small stack I kept doubling but I was never chip leader, just couldn't get that final double up. I pushed on a Q62o board with bottom pair and my opponent had A6. I feel I read him well, I put him on an ace but it was just unlucky he hit his higher kicker.
I did make on major mistake early in the tourney. On an 886 board, I led out with one caller. I had nothing but got a flush draw on the turn, he checked to me and I led out again, he came over the top of me and told me he had trips. I had to fold, of course the dealer rabbit hunted and told me I'd have hit my flush on the river. I had a chance of a free card and got greedy. The way the hand played out, I should have known I was behind.
Bubbling and drunk, I came 4th in a forum $10 STT. Really should have done better but thats drink for ya.
As a footnote, I just opened my william hill poker and discovered a balance of £104. I can't even remember playing hills last night!
